Theresa Jerome

Theresa B. Jerome, 89, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 04, 2017 at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center. Theresa was born in Meriden, CT. to the late Jacob and Sophie (Baziak) Barnas. Theresa was married to the late Leroy Warner and her three children were born from this union. Later in life she met and married the late Edwin L. Jerome Jr. She retired from Pratt & Whitney after more than 20 years of service and was a faithful member of Truth & Freedom Ministry in Windsor, CT where she was also the church secretary. After her retirement she ran a neighborhood day care from her home. She was a treasured companion assisting her daughter at ? Pampered Chef Shows? Theresa and her family enjoyed many summers vacationing in Maine, she was an avid cook, knitter and had a passion for holiday crafts. Her home was kept in away which made all who entered feel welcomed.
Theresa was called ?Mother Theresa? by her family and close friends, because of the unconditional love she had for her children and friends. Although she hasn?t spoken in many years, many caregivers and passersby remarked on her warm comforting smile, there was a light within her no disease could extinguish.
She leaves to cherish her memories; sons, David (Pamela) Warner of San Diego, CA, and Paul Warner of Knoxville TN; daughter, Kimberly (David) Lingenheld of Bloomfield, CT and step- son Rusty Jerome of Milwaukee, WI ; six grandchildren; Sarah, Colton, Clarissa, Daniel, Taylor, Brianna and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Theresa was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Nick and Anthony; and her sisters Mary, Stella and Anna.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Carmon Funeral Home 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor, CT. Family will begin receiving friends at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to Truth and Freedom Ministry, 271 Rainbow Rd. Windsor, CT 06095
