Susan D. Swalwell

SUSAN D. SWALWELL
Funeral services for Mrs. Susan D. Swalwell was held this afternoon at the family residence, 181 Klock avenue with Rev. Peter Webster officiating. Mrs. Swalwell passed away at her home on Wednesday night, March 24, following a lengthy illness. She was 83 years of age.
Pallbearers were three grandsons of the deceased lady, Harvey, Milton and Clarence McConnell, and three nephews, Edgar, Herbert and Wesley Edwards. Interment was made in Terrace Lawn cemetery.
Born near Pembroke, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edwards, she was married in 1881 to the late Anthony A. Swalwell, who predeceased her seven years ago. They lived in Restoule for 40
years prior to coming to North Bay in 1927.
Surviving Mrs. Swalwell are two sons, Walter, North Bay; Cpl. Thomas Swalwell, Carr, Ontario; and six daughters, Mrs. C. McConnell, Mrs. J. McConnell, Mrs. J. Boxall, Restoule; Mrs. Amanda Bruce, Matheson, and Misses Gertrude and Elizabeth Swalwell, North Bay.
Three sisters, all of whom reside in North Hollywood, California, also survive her.
