POWASSAN (Staff)-A former resident of Callander and Sundridge, Andrew David Byers of Wellington St., Chatham, died suddenly at his home Saturday. He was 28.
Final respects may be paid at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan, where Verdun Batstone will conduct the funeral service in the chapel Tuesday at 4 p.m. Interment will be at Nipissing Cemetery.
Born at Callander May 25, 1939, Mr. Byers was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Byers of Sundridge. He lived at Callander until 1964, when he moved to Sundridge. In 1966, he went to Chatham, where he was employed as an automotive glass installer.
He attended Callander Public School and Algonquin Composite School in North Bay. He attended the Undenominational Church.
Surviving are his parents; three brothers, Wilburn of Callander, Sam of Dunnville and Tommy of Chatham; seven sisters, Mrs. T. Mason (Gladys) of Callander, Wilda of London, Evelyn of North Bay, Mrs. E. Hazelwood (Violet) of Callander, Mrs. H. Bayliss (Greta) of Hamilton, Mrs. C. Hazelwood (Gwen) of Almonte and Marjorie of Sunbridge.
