AnnaMarie (Hazelwood) Huset, age 53, of Evansville, WI, passed away at home on Feb. 18, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 21, 1961, in Concord, CA, to Robert Hazelwood and Barbara (Schultz) Hazelwood. AnnaMarie married David Huset on Jan. 31, 1987. They have one son, Anthony Huset. AnnaMarie cherished her family and was very proud of her son, Anthony. She loved the natural world and all animals, especially her dogs and other pets. AnnaMarie had a green thumb for gardening, treasured her houseplants, and nurtured an impressive orchid collection. She enjoyed all types of exercise from martial arts to zumba, and yoga to Tai Chi. AnnaMarie loved travel and reading, and had a lifelong desire to learn. One of AnnaMarie's friends said, “It's not about the bucket list, it's about the lives touched.” And AnnaMarie was a special person who touched the lives of so many. She inspired a great web of friends and family who admired her quick wit, intellect, enthusiasm for life, and zest for learning. She fought her almost four-year battle with ovarian cancer with quiet strength and never lost her sense of humor along the way. She will be remembered as a caring, kind, and compassionate woman.
AnnaMarie is survived by her parents, Robert and Barbara Hazelwood of Georgetown, TX; her husband, David of Evansville; and her son, Anthony, who is attending college at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
