Mr. King was born in Michigan March 19, 1901, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William M. King.
His marriage to the former Leada Rose Yerkie took place at Toronto Nov. 2, 1920. Mr. King had been a resident of Nipissing since 1909.
He is survived by his wife; five sons: Leslie and Lemmy, both of Sudbury; Cecil and Bert, both of Nipissing and Billie, Toronto; seven daughters: Mrs. C. King (Lillian), Blind River; Mrs. C. Elliott (Gladys), Nipissing; Mrs. D. Hazelwood (Myrtle), Mrs. R. Joanissie (Erlien), Mattawa; Mrs. N. Dellandrea (Hazel), Arnstein; Mrs. L. Levesque (Beatrice), Toronto, and Mrs. E. Pearce (Mary), Chisholm; 62 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Also surviving are six brothers: John and Daniel, Nipissing; Joseph, Little Current; Henry and George, both of Sudbury: Simon, Trout Creek; and four sisters: Mrs. R. Busby (Florence), Ironbridge; Mrs. Fred Young (Ruth), Powassan; Jean Yerkie, Nipissing and Mrs. R. Newbatt (Ethel), Hanmer.
The family will receive friends at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Nipissing Cemetery.
