John Tobin
John Edmund Tobin, Jr., MD In San Francisco on January 13, 2006. Beloved husband of Eleanor Mahan Tobin; loving father of Michael (Annie), Eleanor (Jerome) Raggett, Cathleen (Thomas) Miller, Mark (Carol) Tobin, Jean (Edward) Villalva, Ann (David) McInnes, Sheila (Owen) McKannay and Lisa Tobin; grandfather of 22 and great-grandfather of two. Born in 1917 in Chicago and raised in San Francisco, attended St. Monica's School and St. Ignatius, graduated from UC Berkeley and received his M.D. degree from Louisiana State University. A dedicated physician for over 40 years; a member of the American Medical Association, the Academy of Allergy and the Presidio Golf Club. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to a Funeral Mass to be held at St. Dominic's Church, Bush & Steiner Sts, on Wednesday, January 18 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Dominic's Renovation Fund.
