BENNINGTON Dorothy E. Kennedy, 85, of 908 Gage St., died Monday at Putnam Memorial Hospital.
Born July 21, 1897, at Saranac Lake, N.Y., she was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (MeCiellan) Selfridge.
She was married to Ralph H. Kennedy in 1918 in Faust, N.Y., and later lived in Sackets Harbour, N.Y, where she and her husband operated a farm. Mr. Kennedy died in 1966.
Mrs. Kennedy came to Bennington in 1977 to live with members of her family.
While a resident of New York State, she was active In the Free Methodist Church of Watertown, N.Y. While in Bennington she attended the Missionary Alliance Church here.
Survivors include one son, Robert S. Kennedy of Bennington, and eight grandchildren in Vermont and New York.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Watertown, N.Y. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Bellville, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Heart Fund or to the Missionary Alliance Church through the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, which in handling local arrangements.
