Janice Prince, 73, of Carmi passed away at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in Carmi, IL on September 25, 1943 the daughter of Estella Iota (Henson) Faulkner. Janice married Doyle E. Prince on October 5, 1963. She was a 1961 graduate of Carmi Township High School. Janice was a homemaker and had worked in Home Health for Community Care Services. She was a member of Stonefort General Baptist Church. Janice was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Janice is survived by her husband of 53 years, Doyle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Ellen Prince of Carrier Mills and Scott and Leslie Prince of Norris City; three grandchildren, Alexa Prince, Katelyn Prince, and Bryce Prince and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Mason. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean "Jeanie" Newman and Joyce Roberts; and a brother, Billie F. Anderson.
Funeral Services for Janice Prince, 73, of Carmi will be at 11:00 a.m., December 28, 2016 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Janice's memory to Stonefort General Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
