George W. Walton Dies At Age Of 77
GEORGE W. WALTON DIES AT AGE OF 77
After an illness caused by heart trouble and other complications, which first became serious a month and a half ago, George W. Walton, 77, died today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. D. Barton, at 1105 Leslie street. Walton came to Salem from New York state about six years ago. His wife died here four years ago. He was a carpenter by trade.
Children surviving are Mrs. Barton of Salem, Dr. Ralph Walton of New York, F. W, Walton of Exeter, Calif., Miss Lula Walton of Portland, and Mrs. Lorena Sturgon of Corvallis. Walton was a member of the First Methodist church.
