Hans O. Burger
LEESVILLE
Hans Otto Burger, 67, of 328 Rawls Drive, died Friday.
Born in Monroe. N.Y., he was a son of the late John and Margaret Wendt Burger. He was a member of the Lake Murray VFW Post No. 6740 and the Monroe American Legion Post No. 488. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 711, Rampo Post No. 67 and Tall Standard, Cedars of Lebanon. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired auto mechanic of Orange Rockland Utilities in Spring Valley, N.Y.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Joyce Walton Burger; sons, John H. Burger of Ridge Springs, Richard P., Thomas R. and Peter M. Burger, all of New York; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Trudgeon of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Paul Meore of New York, and grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Batesburg-Leesville Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Tom E. Engle. Burial will be held in Ridgecrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be members of the Lake Murray VFW Post No. 6740.
Memorials may be made to the Lake Murray VFW Post No. 6740 building fund.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Charles R. Shealy & Sons Funeral Home, where Masonic rites will be conducted.
