Bernard Francis Ehmann
Bernard Francis Ehmann, 65, of Phoenix, passed to the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2005, after a valiant 13 year battle with lymphoma. He was at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Chicago to Frances Verweil and Anthony Ehmann, January 24, 1940, and moved to Arizona in 1945. He graduated from St. Mary's in 1958. Bernie was ceaselessly enterprising, which was demonstrated by his successful building of ABC Vacuum Center, a family owned and operated business. He passed the torch to his son Larry when he retired in 2000. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, and served as President for many organizations and committees. He belonged to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, where he faithfully and proudly served for many years. He is survived by Sandra, his wife of 38 years; their daughter Carrie Rhea; their son Lawrence Ehmann; 9 grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and numerous close friends. To know him was to love him and many called him Dad. We will miss you Dr. B.
