William J. Bond
After a three month bout with cancer, William J. Bond died at his home in New Liskeard on April 8, 2007.
He was born in New Liskeard on May 30, 1931 to Cecil and Mary Bond.
Educated in New Liskeard, he married Shirley Corneal there on May 14, 1954.
Mr. Bond held various positions at Temiskaming Printing Company and he was photographer and owner of Bond Photo Lab in New Liskeard.
Mr. Bond lived at his Katherine Street address for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing with his family, taking photos of family and wildlife and amateur radio until his later years. Recently he was involved in local politics and was a member of KOPS.
Mr. Bond was also a member of the Temiskaming Kennel Club, the Canadian Kennel Club and was on the executive of PROD, Temiskaming Radio Amateur Club.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; children Dulcie Shepherdson (Barney Bogart), Tim Bond (Denise), Mary Bullock (Dave) and Darrell Bond (Sue Ward); nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his grandson Jonathan Wm. Bullock.
The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel with the service conducted by Morley Shepherdson and Dulcie Shepherdson at Community Church of Christ in New Liskeard.
Cremation has taken place.
Relatives and friends attending the service from out of town came from Kanata, Bracebridge, Guelph, Oshawa, Dryden, Keewatin, Burlington, Curtis, Englehart and Sudbury.
