Death Takes Mrs. Langdon
Mrs. Winifred Belle Langdon, 68, 548 Caswell street, died Tuesday in St. Joseph's hospital.
She was born Feb. 21, 1887 in Greenwood, the daughter of Elmer Luther and Ida Belle Wright Landon. She was educated in Rockford and her marriage to Melvin E. Langdon tock place there June 14, 1906.
The couple farmed four and one-half miles northwest of Belvidere for a number of years. The deceased had lived in Belvidere for 27 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Floretta Hyland of Belvidere; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mayme Secoy of Cherry Valley; and a grandson, Wesley Martin Hyland of Belvidere. Her parents, husband and one son, Millard E. Langdon, preceded Mrs. Langdon in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Witbeck-Wheeler-Sabien funeral home. Rev. S. L. Buchanan will officiate and burial will be in Belvidere cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
