Alfred Joseph Stone 1919 - 2002 (82 years)Loading... Alf Stone STONE, Alfred Joseph "Alf"- President of A. J. Stone Company Ltd., Founding member of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs, Veteran of WW 11 8th Reconnaissance, Royal Regiment. Suddenly on Thursday, January 31, 2002, with his family by his side, in his 83rd year. Alf, beloved husband of Nan (53 years). Loving father of Bill and his wife Debbie, Steve and his wife Pat, and Janet and her husband Jack McFadden. Proud Grandpa of Matt, Mike, Amanda, Steve, Katie, David and Daniel. Dear brother of Nellie MacMaster and Jessie Hill and brother-in-law of Barney and Jean Aspinwall. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Ward Chapel on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 11 a.m. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
