Death of Mrs. Ella B. Dutton, a Resident of Pavilion
Pavilion, March S.-The death of Mrs. Ella B. Dutton, widow of Walter Dutton, occurred this afternoon at 1:15 o'clock, at the home of J. C. Annis on North Lake street, of kidney and heart trouble. Mrs Dutton had been in poor health since early winter and some weeks ago came to live with her sister, Mrs. J. C. Annis.
She was born in Sandwich, DeKalb County, III, October 1, 1861, and was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Ambrose Ladd. On July 24, 1884, she was united in marriage to Walter Dutton, whose tragic death took place July 29, 1902, from the injuries received by being caught in a binder while cutting wheat. The team ran away and his body was terribly mangled.
After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Dutton lived for a few years on the Dutton homestead, west of Pavilion. The next two years were spent in California, after which they returned to Pavilion and lived on what is known as the Ely Rogers farm. She is survived by one brother, Warren Ladd, of Greigsville, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Adell Millory, of York and Mrs. J.C. Annis of Pavillion.
