Mrs. Florence Leighton Bickford, 51, died at a Bangor hospital Mar. 30, 1977. She was born at Simsbury, Conn., Mar. 29, 1926, daughter of Gilbert and Annie (Abbey) Babbitt, She is survived by her husband Everett L. Bickford of West Gouldsboro; two daughters, Miss Alma Leighton, Mrs. George (Sharon) DeFrics, both of Kansas City, Mo. one son, Lee Leighton of Boston, Mass., one sister, Mrs. John Bogus of Simsbury, Conn. three brothers, Marshall Babbit of Simsbury, Conn., Howard Bobbitt of Millertown, N.Y., Wilbert Babbitt of West Suffield, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Warren Funeral Home in Milbridge Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Winter Harbor. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 5.
